Nice site. It seems yourselves and the League of St. Edmund have similar aims and I think some of our founders is also a member of the Association. Interesting flag on the site. There has been talk of the white dragon remaining the flag of the ethnic English by some people on here and that an independent England should have a different flag. What are peoples thoughts on the flag on the Association site.

Personally I would prefer a completely blue field and the Arrow-pierced Saxon crown arms of St.Edmund on on it in gold, rather than the Arms of st Edmund on a CoSG. This flag could be the 'secondary' flag of England. Let's have a clean break from the Normans/Angevins and their red cross. But my favourite flag is the white dragon, and specifically the design in my avatar. We must standardise the Dragon too. There are to my certain knowledge four different designs, and as the design in my avatar was the first I ever saw, that is the one I favour.

Witnere, I also like the design in your avatar (though the version on flags is good too), I use it as well - any idea where that version originates?

Agree we are two very similar organsiations, though as well as St. Edmunds Day we do campaign for English independence as well.I think there is room for LOSTE and the St. Edmunds Assoc to work together on certain campaigns.

Just an idea, but have you considered a merger? If you both are working for the same thing, wouldn't it be better to join forces? I can understand if you'd prefer to stay seperate, but it's just an idea I thought I'd throw your way.

The first time I ever saw it it was on a website called Anglo-Saxon Heathenism, so I've always sort of assumed it was original artwork sourced at that site. The first time I saw it it was on a black background, and right then I thought; "On a red field that Dragon would make a brilliant Englisc flag!" Btw I feel happy that the White Dragon is becoming evermore popular, because years ago when I still posted on the CoSG forum, I suggested the white Dragon as an alternative "ethnic" English flag. This was years before I realised I wasn't alone in thinking it a good idea. I'm in no way at all claiming origination of the idea of such a flag (I'm not so conceited), but merely expressing great pleasure at this early ethnic symbol gaining re-entry into the Englisc concience after so long out in the cold. Did you know you can buy my favoured design as an actual flag now? It's £4.99 from theenglandstore.

Ideally both organisations could merge. The main differences between us are that we give equal emphasis to both Heathenism and Christianity, whilst the St. Edmunds Association concentrate on the Christianity, and the fact we probably more politically cultural with a wider agenda. We also intend to be quite pro-active, an Anglo-Saxon EDL if you like. If we can address those issues then I am sure a merger would be beneficial to the long term cause.

:wd:
There is a white dragon flag designed by a company called PONTO, whose flag looks similar to the welsh flag. :suttonhoo:

Seen that, it's one of the designs I mean. There's also now fifth design I've seen which is really just a Welsh Dragon coloured white on a red field. We need to ditch both those designs as they're very unoriginal and play into the anti-white Dragon/ "stick with the CoSG" brigade's hands. That leaves The rampant Dragon which seems to be SN's favoured version, my avatar version, and a very serpentlike version being sold on mrflag.com, which is actually quite good (and quite expensive, suggesting high quality materials in manufacture). We really need to pick just one, and all get behind that design. My order of preference is; 1) My avatar version 2) 'Mr. Flag' version 3) Rampant Dragon version. Anyone else with an opinion?

I prefer the rampant dragon design. I've not seen the PONTO version, does anyone have a link.

I don't like the Ponto version to be honest. The rampant version I like because it was one of the first out there in the public eye and seems to be the standard so far. The one on your avatar Witnere I also like, however I have never been able to trace it back to where it was designed etc. Can someone provide solid information as to where it was designed etc?
